Emiri Decree No. (6) of 2023 We, SAUD BIN SAQR BIN MUHAMMED Al QASIMI, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Having perused Emiri Decree number 12 of 2015 regarding the establishment of RAK International Corporate Centre as amended, And Law No. 1 of 2023 on the establishment of Department of the Future, Based on the public interest requirements, we have decreed as follows: Article (1) Article 1 of Emiri Decree number 12 of 2015 shall be amended to read as follows: Article 1 In pursuance of this Decree, an independent government centre shall be established in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as a free zone authority named “RAK International Corporate Centre” and shall have an independent legal personality and enjoy financial and administrative independence. Further, it shall have the necessary legal capacity to undertake all actions and acts ensuring the fulfillment of its objectives and it will be affiliated to the Department of the Future established by virtue of law number 1 of 2023. Article (2) An article under number (3) bis shall be added to Emiri Decree number 12 of 2015 as follows: Article 3 bis RAK International Corporate Centre, its personnel, companies and branches of companies incorporated in RAK International Corporate Centre and their personnel shall be exempted from all taxes related to their work in RAK International Corporate Centre. Moreover, they will be exempted from any limitations related to transferring capital, profits or salaries in any currency to any place outside RAK International Corporate Centre in such a way that does not contradict with any federal law. Article (3) Any provision of any other law or local law shall be hereby repealed to the extent to which it is in conflict with the provisions of this Decree. Article (4) This Decree shall come into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
