Amiri Decree No (22) of 2023 We, Saud bin Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, After perusal of Law No. 2 of 2017 regarding the establishment of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone and the supervisory authority and; Emiri Decree No. 11 of 2005 and its amendments regarding the establishment of Marjan Island Project and; Emiri Decree No. 20 of 2022 regarding the geographical boundaries of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority; As per the presentation by the Board of Directors of both Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority and Al Marjan Island Company LLC; and As the Public interest may require; We have promulgated the following decree: Article (1) Geographical areas located at Al Marjan Island and detailed in the attached annexure shall be deemed free zone areas. Article (2) Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority shall be the supervisory authority to license companies and manage the free zone area at Al Marjan Island defined in Article 1 of this decree. Article (3) The relevant authorities and entities shall liaise with Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone Authority to take the necessary actions to implement the provisions of this decree, each according to its competence. Article (4) Any provision which is in contradiction with this decree shall be repealed. Article (5) This decree shall enter into force from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
