Law of Establishing Four Free Zones of 2005 We, Saqr Bin Mohamed Bin Salim Al Qasimi Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate & Dependencies Thereof After perusal of Free Zone Law of 2000; And Emiri Decree No. 2 of 2005 on Establishing Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority; And Resolution dated on 3/1/1996 on Establishing the Free Zone; And based on what had been presented to us by Crown Prince & Deputy Ruler; And as public interest requires; have promulgated the following Law: Article (1) Article (2) of Free Zone Law shall be amended to become as follows: Under this law, four free zones shall be established in four locations in Ras Al Khaimah: First Location: Allocated to Business Centers and currently occupies the buildings where free zone offices are located. Second Location: located in Halila Island and area thereof is 1.160.000 square meters (one million and one hundred sixty thousand square meters) and allocated to industries and storage. Third Location: Located behind Majan Printing Press and area thereof is 700.000 square meters (seven hundred thousand square meters). Fourth Location: Located to the southeast of the third location and to the east of the land allocated to ceramics and the area thereof is 2.190.754 square meters (two million and one hundred ninety thousand and seven hundred fifty-four square meters), allocated to various projects. This location is subject to the supervision of RAK Investment Authority. All these locations are shown on the attached maps. Article (2) This Law shall come into force as of its date. Saqr Bin Mohamed Bin Salim Al Qasimi Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Emirate & Dependencies Thereof Promulgated by us on this day twenty seventh of Muharram 1426 H. Corresponding to eighth of March 2005 G.
  • Article (2) of Free Zone Law shall be amended to become as follows: 
    Under this law, four free zones shall be established in four locations in Ras Al Khaimah:
    First Location:
    Allocated to Business Centers and currently occupies the buildings where free zone offices are located.
    Second Location:
    located in Halila Island and area thereof is 1.160.000 square meters (one million and one hundred sixty thousand square meters) and allocated to industries and storage.
    Third Location:
    Located behind Majan Printing Press and area thereof is 700.000 square meters (seven hundred thousand square meters).
    Fourth Location:
    Located to the southeast of the third location and to the east of the land allocated to ceramics and the area thereof is 2.190.754 square meters (two million and one hundred ninety thousand and seven hundred fifty-four square meters), allocated to various projects. This location is subject to the supervision of RAK Investment Authority.
    All these locations are shown on the attached maps.

     
  • This Law shall come into force as of its date.
