Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah instructs to exempt commercial activities from renewal fees September 11,2020

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has instructed to exempt some commercial activities that have been affected by the lockdown due to the precautionary measures during the crisis of the Novel Corona virus (Covid-19), in various rates of annual renewal fees, with exemption of these establishments from the resulting violations during the lockdown period.
The latest directives add to His Highness's continuous follow-up to the progress of work in various vital economic sectors, mitigating the economic effects of the Corona crisis, ensuring that the emirate’s economy continues to achieve the best performance rates, and preserving its competitiveness in all areas. The directives of His Highness also support the endeavors of Ras Al Khaimah Government, which aim at ensuring that basic commercial activities throughout the emirate operate at full capacity, in order to ensure the business continuity and provide the services at the highest levels of quality and efficiency to all members of the public, without being affected at all times.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi directed the Department of Economic Development in the emirate to exempt the nurseries from the commercial license renewal fees by 50%, and establishments that were closed because they work in places approved for quarantine by 25%, as well as establishments operating at Ras Al Khaimah Airport, Which do not have branches outside the airport and were closed, by 50% and to benefit from this exemption for one year. His Highness's directive also included exempting all these facilities from any resulting violations during the lockdown period.
