Actions«Ras Al Khaimah Executive Council» directs to enhance the Quality of Life of nationals October 03,2020
Ras Al Khaimah Executive Council convened its ordinary meeting remotely through visual technologies, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Executive Council.
Topics listed on its agenda related to cooperation and partnership with the Federal Government, the reports of the Council Committees’ work, the achievements and effectiveness of government procedures and systems that support business continuity under the current circumstances and the follow up of development efforts to improve the Emirate’s global competitiveness were reviewed through the meeting.
The Council heard the Quality of Life Report 2020 in light of the outputs and results of the National Survey of Quality of Life, presented by Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, the Minister of Community Development. Whereas the survey aimed to measure the quality of life of individuals, identify the main affecting factors and enable Government Agencies and Authorities to develop their work programs to enhance the quality of life. The report included a study of the most prominent priorities of specific groups of society. The Council reviewed the general results and recommendations of the factors affecting the quality of life in Ras Al Khaimah in light of the National Quality of Life Index, which consists of three main areas represented in: an advanced country, an interconnected society and the quality of life of individuals.
The Council directed Government Agencies in the Emirate to focus on the most important priorities to enhance the quality of life of individuals in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, to work according to its ambitious plans to raise satisfaction and achieve advanced levels in the national index in a manner that contributes to strengthening the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Executive Council, emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, cooperation and integration between the federal and local government to achieve the vision of the wise leadership for the happiness of citizens, and called for the necessity of remedying and filling the gaps in complementary relations through adhering to continuous coordination and fruitful cooperation. He further expressed the willingness to accept ideas and facilitate the success of initiatives that aimed at improving the quality of life in light of the available possibilities for enhancing the United Arab Emirates’ global reputation.
The Council discussed the report submitted by the Economic Committee on its work program and the results of its meetings during the last period, and decided to assign the Department of Economic Development, in coordination with the relevant Authorities in the Government, to implement the proposal of developing the smart economy platform in the Emirate for all economic data from multiple sources, create a control panel and analytical reports related to the business and economy sector, support future forecasting and simulation modeling for proper planning and to developperformance indicators in various economic aspects, which include the labor market, trade, export, ease of business, inflation rates, real estate and other national accounts.
Preparation For It’s 50
The Council reviewed the efforts and results of the work of the government teams entrusted with contributing to set the Preparation Plan for its fifty within the axes of society, security, safety, justice, law, education, human capital, infrastructure, environmental sustainability and others. The Council commended the achievements of the teams, the visions and the initiatives that were developed and the efforts of coordination, consultation and partnership with the federal government in this regard. The Council stressed the importance of predictive data and analysis in shaping the future. The Council reviewed the report submitted by the Sheikh Saqr Program for Government Excellence on the work progress in participating in the Ease of Doing Business Report 2021 issued by the World Bank.
