Make-A-Wish Foundation makes dreams of 100 children come true in RAK April 04,2018

RAS AL KHAIMAH, 4th April, 2018 (WAM) -- Under the patronage and with the attendance of Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif Al Nahyan, Honorary President of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and wife H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, the foundation has made the wishes of a hundred children with diabetes and other serious conditions come true, during their participation in the eleventh Al Basma Camp.
Sheikha Sheikha distributed gifts to the children that fulfilled their wishes and varied between electronic devices, and travel, such as performing Umrah or travelling to specific destinations.
"We are happy to be here today to support these children and make their wishes come true as a way of paying back to our country, and help promote the vision of our leadership to spread happiness, hope and optimism among the community, as well as to commemorate the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the symbol of humanity, giving and love," she said.
Sheikha Sheikha thanked H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, for his patronage of the diabetes camp, and praised the cooperation between the foundation and the camp in supporting diabetes patients and making their wishes come true.
She also expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the camp’s administration and volunteers in the charity and humanitarian activities of the Year of Zayed.
