The Emirates Association for Social Development in Ras Al Khaimah, in cooperation with the Community Development Center in Julfar, has launched the "Knowledge Cafe" initiative.

The initiative comes within the framework of implementing the National Reading Plan, with the aim of making reading a regular activity deeply rooted in the Emirati society and well adapted as a lifestyle by 2026.

In this regard, the Creative Center for Reading has conducted dialogue sessions with four female Emirati writers on the importance of reading. The writers are: Fatima Al-Maamari, Shawq Al-Suwaidi, Noura Al-Hamaidi, and Duha Al-Hayali. The sessions took place at the headquarters of the Emirates Association in Saqr Bin Mohammed city in Ras Al Khaimah

The initiative aims to reach out to young people and all society members to incorporate the reading activity by making it a lifestyle, and build an educated reading community that helps shape the future of the UAE and advance its achievements.
