There is no doubt that the United Arab Emirates, under the wise leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has made a remarkable progress in strengthening the UAE Environment sector.

The UAE has also spearheaded two main strategic initiatives to protect & develop the environment as well as achieving sustainable development of the UAE. In this regard, HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, issued the Law No (2) of 2007 establishing EPDA RAK which shall cooperate with relevant authorities in other emirates, under Ministry of Environment & Water, applying environmental actions statewide.
