RAK Ruler receives Chief Executive of DIFC Courts May 08,2017

RAS AL-KHAIMAH, 8th May, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has received, Mark Beer OBE, Chief Executive and Registrar of the Dubai International Financial Centre, DIFC Courts, and his accompanying delegation, to review cooperation between DIFC Courts and the RAK Courts Department. The meeting also included Ahmed Mohammed Al-Khatiri, Head of the RAK Courts Department.

The Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah welcomed Mr. Beer and commended the cooperation between the two courts. Under a recent partnership agreement, a training programme between DIFC Courts and the RAK Courts Department has been set-up to develop cooperation between the two sides.

Over the last few days, six workshops were organised and judges from the RAK Courts Department received training by DIFC Courts' judges.

Commenting on the programme, Beer said that the programme introduced judges at RAK Courts to the best international practices and experiences in judicial work, especially conducting litigation procedures, and speedy litigation.

The meeting was attended by David Gallo, Director of the Academy of Law at DIFC, Justice Ali Al Madhani from Dubai Courts, and a number of officials.
