Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah Attends Government Excellence Award Ceremony April 14,2018


His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the Government Excellence Award Ceremony this evening. The Ceremony, which was organized by the Sheikh Saqr Program for Govern/ment Excellence to honor the winners of its twelfth edition in 2017,
began at the Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development (MCKD) with the National Anthem and verses from the Holy Quran.
A film was presented following the recitations, and was proceeded by the honoring ceremony in which Shaima Mohammed Al Tunaiji , Maryam Ghanem Al Taweel, Alia Ahmed Al Balushi, Hessa Ahmed Al Ghais, Sara Mohammed Al Zaabi and Nahed Abdullah Al Shehhi were awarded with the Diploma of Happiness.
The ceremony then continued by dubbing the Government Human Resources Department and the Public Prosecution Department winners with the 2017 Award for Excellent Volunteerism. The Department of Human Resources was also awarded within the category for the 2017 Best Volunteering Initiative regarding their Knowledge Academy Initiative along with the Department of Economic Development for their ‘Khairkum Sabeq’ intitative.
The Department of Protocol and Hospitality was recognized with the Excellent Community Projects Management for its ‘2018 Collective Wedding Project,’ while the Municipality Department was awarded in the Promising Government Initiative category for its ‘Energy Efficiency’ initiative. The media partnerships were then honored, namely, the RAK Radio Broadcasting Authority (RAK Radio), Emirates News Agency (WAM) and Abu Dhabi TV (Oloum Aldar).
The Year of Giving Award for Excellent Volunteerism was awarded to the Department of Prosecution. Furthermore, 33 employees, who have achieved the highest level of excellence, were also then awarded. Recipients of the award from the Department of Municipality include: Mohammed Ahmed Shahab Al Roznamah, Hanan Ahmed Salem Al Ghafiri, Mohammed Al Taf, Mohammed Saleem, Ehaab Nasruddin, Ahmed Mohammed, Aisha Ali, and Ahmed Al khanbuli Al Shehhi from the Department of Municipality. Recipients of the award from the Environmental Protection and Development Authority include: Moza Shaiban, Mohammed Al Habsi, Omar Mohammed Subhi Al Maani, and Hussam Mohammed Abdullah. Recipients of the award from the RAK Courts Department include Moza Obaid Saeed.
Distinguished officials from the Department of Public Prosecution were also honored, including: Alia bint Rashid Al Saadi, Amna Mohammed Rashed Al Habsi, Aisha Ahmed Ali Al Suwaidi, Faisal Mohammed AbdulHakim Mahboub and Amina bint Abdullah Al Balushi. Recipients from the Department of Economic Development include: Moza Hassan Saeed Al Shamaili, Amal Ismail Mahmoud Abdullah, Sami Mohammed Faraj Al Rabah, Ahlam Abdurrahman Al Mansouri, Asmaa Saeed Salim Al Dahmani and Maryam Mohammed Ali Al Naqbi. From the Department of Protocol and Hospitality: Nahed Abdullah Al Shehhi and Nahed Hassan Al Shehhi. Raghed Amin Mohammed from the Department of Finance was honored; alongside Marwan Mohammed Al Shehhi, Mona Mohammed Al Shamaili and Shama Ali Al Shemsi from the Customs Department. From the Emirates eGovernment: Vidanapatla Janaki, Venkata Srinivas, Amina Mohamed Abderrahman and Fadi Mashhour Mohammed Batah.  Honorees also included: Azza Jassim Al Suwaidi of the Public Services Department; and Brigadier General Yaqoub Yousef Abu Laila, Captain Thaer Mohammed Al Najjar, and First Lieutenant Talib Mohammed Al Mandous of the General Directorate of Ras Al Khaimah Police.
As for the Career Excellence Award categories, Ahmed Khalid Al Jaka from the Department of Finance was recognized for Excellence in Innovation; Excellence in Customer Service was awarded to Abdul Salam Kandil from the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and to Muneer Abdullah Ahmed from the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Excellence in Exchange service.
The Emirates eGovernment in cooperation with the General Services Department received the Excellent Joint Government Project Award for their Smart Inspector Project, while the Environmental Protection and Development Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Education received the Award for their Environmental Protection Teams Project. Whereas, the One-day Court by RAK Courts Department secured the Excellent Service Initiatives Award.
Additionally, the Excellent Organizational Unit Award was awarded to the Customs Affairs Department from the Customs Department. The Department of Economic Studies on behalf of the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry won the Excellent Section Award and the Performance Management and Development Department from the Human Resources Department acquired the Creative Management Department Award.
The Excellent Government Department in Governance award went to Department of Human Resources, the Excellent Government Department in the Management of Resources and Properties was awarded to the Department of Public Services, the Happiest Working Environment went to Department of Public Prosecution and the Committee Government Department for Innovation went to both the Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Services. The Public Prosecution Department won the Excellent Government Department in Providing Smart Services along with the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry which won the Excellent Government Department in Providing Services award. The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority was also recognized as the Excellent Government Department in Achieving Strategy, with the RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry recognized as the Excellent Government Department in Applying Fourth Generation Systems.
The Ceremony was attended by: Sheikh Mohammed bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development; Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Sports and Cultural Club; His Excellency Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education; and a number of other chairmen and directors of government, private and federal bodies along with other esteemed guests.
