Ras Al Khaimah Customs Launches Zero Cash March 05,2018

The Ras Al Khaimah Customs Department launched the Zero Cash e-payment service for collecting fees from clients for all the Department's services. Launching the new app comes as part of the department efforts to shift towards smart e-services.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Mehrezi, Director General of the Customs Department, said this step culminates the joint work with the Electronic Government Authority and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. It follows intensive meetings for formulating a unified vision for the Department's project for shifting towards financial e-services, which culminated in signing an agreement between the Department and the Bank, with the Electronic Government Authority providing technical support to ensure the success of the project.

Al Mehrezi said that this step should facilitate transactions and save time and effort for clients of the Customs Department. It also falls in line with the Emriate’s vision for shifting towards smart e-services in all operations and services rendered to clients.

He said that with this service, collecting all fees due to the Department as well as security deposits will be made available electronically, with the client having the option to pay customs service’s fees via smart payment methods without having to visit the Department or run the risk of carrying cash.
