RAK Crown Prince Chairs Executive Council Meeting February 20,2017

RAS AL KHAIMAH, 20th February, 2017 (WAM) -- The Executive Council of Ras al-Khaimah had its first regular meeting for 2017, headed by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah and President of the Council.

At the start of the meeting, the council endorsed the minutes of its previous meetings and highlighted the topics included in its work schedule that relate to developing public projects, raising the level of government services, customer satisfaction, strengthening the legislative system, and increasing the competitive environment.

The council then reviewed the report from the Electronic and Smart Transformation Committee, which followed up the working practices of many technical projects, the indicators of communication centre operations, the set standards for electronic security and the widening of available electronic and smart services systems.
The council directed the consolidation of co-operation and co-ordination between all relevant authorities, to guarantee both speed and quality in completing projects that strengthens the stature of Ras al-Khaimah. It also asked for the execution of planned training and awareness sessions in the field of data security.
The council then approved the "Sadad" electronic payment system that provides an electronic channel to facilitate the process of paying government dues, and directed all governmental authorities to join it during the upcoming phase.

It also approved a project from the executive list for the Ras al-Khaimah Bureau of Statistics and Studies, to organise different kinds of statistical work.
The council viewed Law No. 10 (2016) that concerns the government’s adjustment of maternity leave, which was produced by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah.

The council also praised H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi’s desire to provide the proper work environment for the participation of woman. It followed this by executing an initiative to speed up the distribution of residential coupons in the Refa’a area and other areas in the Emirate, under the Year of Giving initiative.
The council concluded by praising the initiatives launched by H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, as part of the Year of Giving, and it agreed to continue its achievements through the first quarter, based on the best methods of achieving its goals.
