Law No (1) of 2016 on Waiver of Public Right of Traffic Fines against some Categories We, SAUD BIN SAQR Al QASSIMI, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, - After perusal of the Constitution of United Arab Emirates; - Federal Law No (10) of 1973 on Supreme Federal Court; - Federal Law No (11) of 1973 on Regulating Judicial relations between Emirates, members of Federation; - Federal Law No (97) of 1977 on By-laws of Federal National Council; - Federal Law No (3) of 1983 on Federal Judicial Authority, as amended; - Federal Law No (35) of 1992 to Issue Law of Criminal Procedures, as amended; - Federal Law No (21) of 1995, amended, on Traffic and Executive Regulation thereof; - Federal Law No (11) of 2009 on Constituting Military Courts, as amended; - Law No (3) of 1992 on Constituting Dubai Courts, as amended; - Law No (8) of 1992 on Dubai Public Prosecution, as amended; - Law No (23) of 2006 on Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, as amended; - Law No (2) of 2012, amended, on Establishing Public Prosecution of Ras Al Khaimah; - Law No (5) of 2012, amended, on Regulating Judiciary at Ras Al Khaimah; - Based on proposals submitted by His Highness Crown Prince; and - As may be dictated by public interest, The following Law has been promulgated: Article (1) Definitions The following words shall have the meanings assigned hereto unless the context otherwise requires: Emirate: Ras Al Khaimah Emirate, Ruler: His Highness, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, Crown Prince: His Highness, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, Attorney General: Attorney General of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and Competent Authority: Ras AL Khaimah Police General Headquarter and departments thereof. Article (2) Scope of Law Application Provisions of this Law shall be applicable to all traffic violations governed by this Law and committed inside the Emirate. Article (3) Categories Governed by this Law The following categories shall be governed by this Law: 1- Members of Federal National Council, during their membership term in Council; 2- Members of Federal Judiciary Council and Judicial Councils of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah; 3- Judicial Authority members; including judges and Public Prosecution members whether federal or local from the abovementioned emirates; and 4- Judicial Authority members; including judges and Prosecution members of Military Judiciary. Article (4) Under this Law, public right of all traffic violations committed by the categories set in the previous Article shall be waived inside the Emirate to be considered as void and Attorney General or his Deputy shall resolve the same in-writing to be sent to the Competent Authority for execution. Article (5) No provision of this Law shall prejudice to the rights of councils which are followed by those governed by this Law, to take towards their personnel actions deemed appropriate to maintain prestige of the same and members thereof. Article (6) Provisions of this law shall come into force as of the date of its promulgation and be published in the Official Gazette.   • Definitions
    The following words shall have the meanings assigned hereto unless the context otherwise requires:

    Crown Prince: His Highness, the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah,
    Attorney General: Attorney General of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and
    Competent Authority: Ras AL Khaimah Police General Headquarter and departments thereof.
  • Scope of Law Application
    Provisions of this Law shall be applicable to all traffic violations governed by this Law and committed inside the Emirate.
